Love is old,
Love is new,
Love is all,
Love is You
— The Beatles

I started writing lyrics and poetry when I was a young man.

I remember when I shared some of my writing with kids my age they all seemed to reply the same way…”deep”. I did not find this to be a badge I would wear with honor because like most artists I was insecure, confused, and unsure of were I fit into this beautiful and sometimes muddled mosaic we call life.

No matter what happened to me, whether by my own hand, or unforeseen circumstances, music was always there for me. It never left. It seemed to call to me. I tried to put the guitar down in pursuit of other passions and lo and behold, I always came back. It spoke a universal language that I found comfort in. If I had tears streaming down my cheeks or a smile from ear to ear, music was there.

This is my sole and soul hope for your visit to this site.

That you may find comfort in a word or a melody and that it will help you feel like you belong in this world, even if only for a moment.

As a dear friend of mine used to muse, “Remember…we are spinning!”

Peace and Blessings,

When I put my feet upon the floor,
I keep telling myself to search some more,
Trying to find some answers for some peace today,
And this is how I’ll wake, everyday
— Chris Bell, The Weathered Road
I looked my demons in the eyes, laid bare my chest, said do your best to destroy me.
You see I’ve been to hell and back so many times, I must admit you kind of bore me
— Ray Lamontagne, Empty
It’s so good to see, this world is alive
It’s so good to see, this world isn’t mine
— Karnivool, Themata
This body, holding me, reminding me that I am not alone
This body, makes me feel, eternal, all this pain is an illusion
— Tool, Parabol/Parabola
The warmth of summer, is nothing without,
The harsh winds of winter,’
And I’ll stand alone, just watching,
’Cause I love it all
— Stephen Geruschat, I Love it All
